Bengaluru: 3 Sri Lankan fugitives incidentally fall under police radar

 Kasan Kumara Sanka, 36, Amila Nuwan, 36, and Ranga Prasad, 36, belonging to Sri Lanka crossed over to India illegally via waterways landing in Salem. They had established contact with Jalal, a factory owner in Bengaluru currently in Oman. Jai Paramesh who is himself a rowdy sheeter was assigned the task of sheltering the three Sri Lankans by Jalal. 

The three were lodged in an apartment along with him in the Viswa Prakruthi Green Woods Apartment, Jakkur. The three were not fluent in English and only knew Sinhalese. They would communicate with Paramesh through the use of sign language. 

Jai Parmaesh had however been absent in hearings pertaining to a murder case he was involved in, initiating a lookout from the police for him. When they searched his apartment they stumbled onto the Sri Lankans as well. As it turns out, the Sri Lankans were accused in a cumulative of 10 murder cases. 

13 mobile phones, Aadhar cards, Voter ID Cards were seized from them. They have been booked under the Foreigners Act. Jai Paramesh has also been booked under IPC acts pertaining to abetting criminals. Bengaluru police declined to comment on whether Jalal has also been arrested in Oman but confirmed that the investigation is focused on trying to understand how the 33 got in touch with him.
