The deceased child, Raksha, was traveling with her father, Jeevan, on a bike when the tree fell, fatally injuring her. She suffered severe head injuries and bled to death despite efforts to save her at the hospital. Her father also sustained a fractured spine and is currently undergoing treatment.

Vijay, the child's uncle, expressed his grief and frustration, stating that the BBMP should take better care of tree maintenance, especially during the rainy season. "These incidents keep happening, yet no action is taken. The authorities come at night, provide compensation, and move on. But what about the lives lost?" he lamented.

The unseasonal rains brought relief from the scorching heat in the city but also led to unforeseen tragedies. Residents have urged civic authorities to take proactive measures in trimming weak and old trees to prevent such accidents in the future.

As the bereaved family mourns their devastating loss, concerns over civic negligence and safety measures continue to grow among citizens.
