Bengaluru: 4 youngsters partying on car's rooftop arrested

A video of 4 individuals partying on the rooftop of their car had gone viral on 17th December. The car had a number plate from Delhi. The individuals were on top of a Honda car. One of the individuals had even removed his shirt in the euphoria of the moment. The incident unfolded along the route to the Bengaluru Airport.

The incident was brought to the notice of the Bengaluru Traffic Police. The X (formerly known as Twitter) account of the Chikkajala Traffic Police had confirmed that arrests were made pertaining to the incident on December 15th. A case has been filed under section 279 and section 283 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 184 of the Indian Motors Vehicles Act. The sections deal with negligent driving, public obstruction and dangerous driving respectively. “On Chikkajala Traffic Police Station’s Twitter (X) account, video was uploaded regarding rash and negligent driving in which 4 boys were found protruding outside car windows and sunroof on Bangalore International Airport Road,” Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Sachin P Ghorpade said.

The four individuals have been identified as Salman Fais, Nasim Abbas, Salmanual Faris and Mohammed Nusaif. All of them hail from Kerala.
