Yet another fire accident took place within the limits of Silicon City. A 5-storey building in the outer ring road of Banaswadi was completely engulfed by fire. 

There were furniture shops, a coaching centre and Information Technology (I.T) companies within the premises. A short circuit is suspected to have been the reason for the accident. The accident is estimated to have occurred at 12 AM on 13th November. 

Three security guards were stuck within the building when the fire broke out. Officials of the Fire Department however swung into action and were successful in securing their safety. This prevented a major untoward incident from unfolding in the 5-storey building. 

The ground and the first floor of the building consisted of the furniture shop named Stanley Furnitures. On the second floor was a coaching centre named Comed Coaching Centre. The 3rd and 4th floor consisted of a company named Brakes Controls and a software company. The damages caused is estimated to exceed more than Rs 1 crore. The location falls within the limits of the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station. The officials of the Fire Department were successful in dousing the fire.
