A disastrous accident involving a cylinder has surfaced in Bengaluru. The incident unfolded in the LBS Layout in Yelahanka. LBS Layout falls within the jurisdiction of the Yelahanka New Town Police Station. The cylinder explosion has caused damage to 5 houses. 6 people have been grievously injured. The  injured individuals are being treated at the Yelahanka Government Hospital. 

It is being suspected that there was a leakage in the cylinder. It is being speculated that the blast occurred when the light was switched on. The residence in which the incident occurred is believed to have belonged to a woman. The woman originally hails from Delhi. The cylinders in the house are in an undisturbed condition. However the fire spread at a rapid speed onto 5 other houses. The injured individuals have been identified as Afarwaz, Salma, Shahid, Fazia, Afroz and Asma. 2 of the victims have been observed to have 60% burns and have been admitted to the Victoria Hospital. 

Afroz recounted the horror that unfolded. The incident is estimated to have occurred at 7:10 A.M on January 16th. “Me and my father were downstairs. My mother was on the first floor. The blast took place in a house belonging to the woman from Delhi. A short circuit also ensued. I feel down due to the electric shock,” he said.
