Bengaluru: 954 shows for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan

Jawan has set a record by becoming the Hindi film to garner the most number of shows on Day 1 in the Bengaluru region. This is the 8th highest number of shows for a film across languages in the Bengaluru region. Shah Rukh Khan has also become the first actor to get more than a 100 early morning shows in Bengaluru from Bollywood. Jawan’s pre-sales had overtaken Pathaan and Adipurush but due to the high pricing of the tickets despite being able to gather a huge number of shows, the number of screens where the shows are fast filling or sold out are less than 400. The pre sales had managed to sell 1.24 lakh tickets that had amounted to a collection of Rs 3.6 crore.

The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of the film are available in the region but Jawan has not been dubbed in Kannada. A certain section of X (formerly known as Twitter) users were upset at this development. They cited the recent success of the Kannada dubbed version of Jailer that crossed the Rs 5 crore mark. However others deferred from them. 

A user wrote, “Jailer Kannada dubbed version collected only 5 crore Jailer Tamil version collected 70 crore So what's the use of dubbing when karnataka people want to watch it in original language.”
