The complaint was lodged by S. Vidyasagar, an auditor and resident of the RRBC Pratham apartment complex in Banashankari II Stage. The suspects are identified as Ranjit Sha and Mitesh Sha, directors of Rajarajeshware Builddcon Pvt Ltd in Basavanagudi, and their sibling, Harish Sha, the company's authorized signatory.

Vidyasagar, 53, purchased a flat in March 2023 for Rs 1.2 crore and took possession in October. However, when applying for a bank loan, he discovered that a sale agreement for the same flat had been executed in 2021. Records revealed that the developers had sold six flats, including Vidyasagar’s, to a family while simultaneously selling them to other buyers.

Vidyasagar, along with the five other affected buyers, filed a criminal complaint after receiving no resolution despite sending a legal notice to the developers. The complex, consisting of 20 flats, has installed a caution board to warn other potential buyers.

Banashankari police have initiated investigations, collecting documents from the victims. Statements from all parties will be recorded as part of the ongoing probe.
