Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has introduced the Aerial View Display (AVD) System to enhance real-time airside monitoring and streamline flight operations.
The system, integrated into the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC), provides a centralized dashboard offering a live, comprehensive view of aircraft movements, taxiing, and ground vehicle coordination.

Designed to improve efficiency and safety, the AVD System enables airport staff and stakeholders to monitor critical airside activities through a unified platform. By tracking key metrics such as taxiing speed and runway occupancy time, the technology helps optimize air traffic flow and reduce delays. Additionally, its ability to oversee ground vehicle movements enhances operational safety and coordination.
This technological advancement is expected to enhance KIA’s operational capacity while contributing to a smoother passenger experience. The initiative aligns with the airport’s broader goals of adopting smart solutions to support growing air traffic and sustainability efforts.
