In a dramatic incident aboard a BMTC bus in Bengaluru, a group of professional thieves attempted to steal a mobile phone from a commuter, only to be foiled by his quick thinking and courage. The incident occurred when Prasad, a young man traveling from Marathahalli to Agara, boarded BMTC bus number KA51AJ6654.

According to Prasad’s exclusive account, five thieves boarded the crowded bus and tactically surrounded him. Two stood behind, and three stood in front, creating a human "chakravyuha" (formation) to discreetly steal his phone. Their coordinated and cinematic method of theft made it nearly impossible for bystanders to notice the act.
As they attempted to snatch the phone, Prasad sensed something was wrong. When he confronted them, the thieves tried to distract the situation by creating a scene, even resorting to slapping him and causing a commotion. Despite this, Prasad stayed alert and determined to trace his missing phone.
After a brief scuffle and some diversionary drama by the gang, Prasad spotted one of the men hiding the phone near his waist. Upon being caught red-handed, the thief quietly returned the mobile and fled the scene with his gang.
The incident was promptly reported at the Whitefield Police Station, where officers commended Prasad’s bravery and presence of mind. The police have now taken up the case and are investigating further.
