  • The change in plans will be initiated from August 31st
  • Air India domestic flights will operate from Terminal 2
  • Bengaluru Airport has provided helpline numbers

Currently AirAsia India, Star India, Vistara and Air India domestic flights operate from Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport. Starting from August 31st, Air India would be the only domestic flight to operate from terminal 2 which would otherwise be exclusively reserved for international flights.

Terminal 2 was inaugurated in November and has been operational since January. Connectivity between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 has also been established along with connectivity from Terminal 2 to other parts of the city via Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses, Airport Taxis, App- based Taxis and private cars. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are 600 meters apart from each other. Shuttle buses operate between the 2 at regular intervals and a time period of 10 minutes is required to cover this distance. There are 2 points for passengers to access this shuttle bus service. These are pick up point 16 and pick up point 17 that have been designated in the arrival zone.

The official account of the Bengaluru airport posted about this development on X, formerly known as Twitter along with providing helpline numbers and app details for assistance. The BLR Pulse application provides latest updates on flights and other related information.
