Bengaluru-based CEO and founder of the Mindful AI Lab, 39-year-old Suchana Seth was arrested in the Aimangala Police Station in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka while she was on her way back from Goa to Bengaluru.

Suchana had booked a service apartment in Sinquerim located in North Goa. Suchana killed her 4-year-old son Chinmayi Ramanan Seth and packed his body inside a bag.

Suchana later insisted on travelling via Taxi to Bengaluru even when the staff advised her that a flight would be a more convenient option. Suspicions about what had transpired became strong when one of the housekeeping staff noticed a blood-stain in the room booked by Suchana. CCTV visuals confirmed that Suchana had left without her son.

The hotel staff informed the local police. Police called up Suchana to enquire about her son’s whereabouts. Suchana claimed that her son was at one of her friend’s places at Fatorda. She even provided an address to the police to this effect. It was however revealed the address was fake.

The police later contacted the driver of the Taxi and spoke to him in Konkani. He was directed to visit the nearest police station who were alerted about the proceedings. Without raising suspicion, the driver reached the nearest station and when the car was checked, her son’s body was discovered.

The Calangute Police is en route to Chitradurga to take transit remand of Suchana.
