The collection accounts for 94.57% of BBMP’s ambitious annual target of ₹5,210 crore. To incentivize performance, BBMP evaluated its eight administrative zones based on their tax collection achievements relative to their respective goals.
Yelahanka zone led the performance chart, collecting ₹464.66 crore—104.3% of its target of ₹445.24 crore—becoming the only zone to exceed its target. Mahadevapura followed with ₹1,037.68 crore, achieving 99.9% of its ₹1,309 crore goal.
The South zone took third place, collecting ₹733.65 crore against a ₹769.50 crore target (95.34%), while East zone was close behind with ₹834.14 crore (93.52%) from a ₹891.89 crore target. Dasarahalli, West, and RR Nagar zones trailed with 92.72%, 92.17%, and 87.89% respectively.
Bommanahalli recorded the lowest performance among the eight zones, collecting ₹490.03 crore—83.75% of its ₹585.11 crore target.
This remarkable achievement is seen as a strong indicator of improved compliance and administrative efficiency, positioning BBMP closer to achieving full target realization in the coming fiscal cycles.
