The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has delivered encouraging news to animal lovers by initiating a project that designates specific feeding zones for stray dogs across the city.

This move comes in response to circulating rumours suggesting the BBMP was against feeding stray dogs, prompting questions about the welfare of these animals and community management responsibilities.

Addressing the concerns, the BBMP's animal husbandry department clarified their stance and unveiled a structured plan to support stray dog nutrition.

BBMP is spearheading a project to establish marked areas on each street where dogs can be fed. These designated feeding zones aim to provide stray dogs with nutritious food while minimizing conflicts between animal lovers and residents.

Progress updates on this initiative will be displayed on public notice boards to ensure transparency and community involvement.

The new scheme has been warmly received by animal advocates, who are pleased with the BBMP's proactive approach to addressing the welfare of stray dogs.

This initiative not only underscores BBMP's commitment to animal welfare but also fosters a harmonious coexistence between the city's residents and its stray animal population.
