Is Bescom attempting to conceal its negligence? Zoya Khan, residing in Bandepalya, suffered 20% burns allegedly due to Bescom’s negligence on not insulating electric wires near her house.
Zoya Khan, a young girl, endured severe burns, accounting for 20% of her body, when she accidentally came into contact with uninsulated electricity wires outside her residence in Bengaluru. There are claims that the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) neglected to insulate these wires.
Following the incident, Zoya was promptly transported to Victoria Hospital, where medical professionals classified her condition as critical.
Recent allegations suggest that hospital staff are pressuring Zoya's parents to take her home, especially after a visit from BESCOM authorities. Despite the parents asserting that Zoya's injuries have not fully healed, it is reported that the doctors are allegedly speaking negatively about the parents and withholding essential information.
Her parents were informed by doctors that her condition was severe, and a clear prognosis would take a week.
However, a sudden shift in the narrative occurred when Bescom officials visited the hospital. The same doctor who initially claimed uncertainty for a week suddenly declared Zoya fit for discharge after their visit.
Despite this seemingly positive turn, Zoya's mother, Yasmin Khan, voiced concerns about the lack of transparency and communication. Allegations were made that doctors scolded them for inquiring about their daughter's health. Zoya, reportedly, hasn't consumed food or water for three days and experiences vomiting after eating. The distressed parents, grappling with uncertainty, expressed worries about their daughter's well-being.
Adding to the family's distress, they encountered difficulties understanding the doctors, who preferred communicating in English, leaving the parents feeling helpless and uninformed.
Yasmin Khan further claimed that the medical staff ceased treatment abruptly, withholding medical reports and leaving the family in the dark about their daughter's deteriorating condition.
The mother emphasized Zoya's swollen hand, stomach pain, and inflammation, urging authorities to address the alarming situation promptly.
The unanswered questions and the sudden turnaround in Zoya's prognosis raise suspicions about Bescom's involvement and the hospital's handling of the situation.
