A notorious bike thief with a record-breaking spree of 100 stolen motorcycles has been arrested by the K.R. Pura police. Identified as Prasada Babu from Bangarupalyam, Andhra Pradesh, the thief targeted high-end motorcycles, including Royal Enfield and Pulsar models, selling them for as little as ₹15,000–₹20,000.

Babu had a unique method—he would travel to Bengaluru by bus every evening, scout residential areas such as K.R. Pura, Tin Factory, and Mahadevapura, and steal bikes parked outside homes. Remarkably, he would then ride the stolen bike back to his hometown the same day. His operations extended beyond Bengaluru, covering areas like Chittoor and Tirupati.

Using a screwdriver, he would break the handle lock, manipulate the wiring inside the headlight, and start the bike. During police interrogation, he even demonstrated his technique. Over three years, he stole 20 Royal Enfields, 30 Pulsar bikes, 40 Activa scooters, and other expensive two-wheelers.

The police have recovered 100 stolen bikes, valued at approximately ₹1.45 crore. A case has been registered at K.R. Pura police station, and further investigation is underway. Authorities have urged vehicle owners to take extra precautions while parking their bikes.
