Bengaluru: Biklu Shiva murdered in cold blood near Halasuru Lake ; FIR filed against MLA Byrathi Basavaraj

A brutal murder in the heart of Bengaluru near Halasuru Lake has sent shockwaves across the city. Rowdy-sheeter Shivakumar alias Biklu Shiva was hacked to death late last night by a gang of unidentified assailants. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM at the War Memorial Circle near Halasuru Lake, a usually quiet and busy area.

According to initial reports, a group of four to five men arrived in a car, intercepted Biklu Shiva in front of his residence, and attacked him with lethal weapons in a completely unexpected and savage assault. The attackers fled the scene before anyone could respond. Bharatinagar police rushed to the spot and began an investigation.

The case took a dramatic turn when the victim’s mother, Vijayalakshmi, filed a complaint alleging that MLA Byrathi Basavaraj had conspired to kill her son. Based on her FIR, Basavaraj has been named as Accused No. 5 (A5) in the case. Others named include Jagadish, Vimal, Kiran, and Anil.

While the exact motive is still under investigation, police suspect an old rivalry may be behind the murder. Further investigation is underway to uncover the conspiracy and identify all those involved.
