Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has issued a public warning regarding the trial electrification of the Namma Metro Yellow Line, that began on May 18. The warning advises against entering the viaduct areas during this period due to safety concerns.

According to the BMRCL notice, 33 kV cables along the BMRCL viaduct from BTM Layout station platform to the buffer end of R.V. Road station, encompassing BTM Layout, Jayadeva, Ragigudda, and R.V. Road stations, are being electrified from May 18. Additionally, the 750 volts DC third rail sections within these areas will also be activated.

The warning extends to the Reach 5 section, covering the Hebbagodi Depot to Bommasandra station and R.V. Road station buffer end. This section includes 16 stations: Hebbagodi Depot, Bommasandra, Hebbagodi, Huskur Road, Infosys, Electronic City, Beratena Agrahara, Hosa Road, Singsandra, Kudlu Gate, Hongasandra, Bommanahalli, Central Silk Board, BTM, Jayadeva, Ragigudda, and R.V. Road station buffer end.

BMRCL emphasized the severe risks associated with contacting the 750 volts DC third rail or the 33 kV cables, which can result in fatal hazards. Consequently, the public is strongly advised to avoid entering the viaduct areas without proper authorization to ensure safety during the electrification process.
