A serious accident involving a BMTC bus occurred early this morning in Peenya 2nd Stage, Bengaluru, leaving two individuals critically injured. The incident took place when a BMTC bus (registration number KA-51-4170), assigned to Depot 22, was en route from Peenya 2nd Stage to Kempegowda Bus Station.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to negligence and crashed the bus into a roadside petty shop. The force of the impact severely injured two bystanders who were standing close to the shop at the time of the crash.

One of the injured has been identified as a woman named Srilakshmi from Sunkadakatte. Both victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and assessing the extent of negligence.
