Bengaluru is preparing for grand New Year’s Eve celebrations, with major hotspots like MG Road, Brigade Road, Church Street, Indira Nagar, and Koramangala expected to draw large crowds. Known for its cosmopolitan culture, the city anticipates lakhs of revelers hitting the streets to welcome 2024 in style.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration, Bengaluru police have ramped up security measures across the city. Law enforcement authorities have been inspecting bars and restaurants to ensure compliance with safety standards. Over 1,630 establishments have been checked as part of these efforts.
Preventive measures also include scrutinizing and questioning individuals with prior records of disturbances to maintain peace during the festivities. The police have further taken steps to identify and take action against foreign nationals overstaying in the city, aiming to eliminate potential risks during the celebrations.
Top officials emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order as thousands of citizens and tourists are expected to join the revelry. Surveillance and patrolling will be strengthened in key locations to prevent any untoward incidents, with checkpoints and alcohol tests planned to curb drunken driving.
