A shocking incident of road rage has surfaced from Bengaluru. A Malayali family travelling in a car was allegedly attacked after their car was stopped right in the middle of the road. The incident occurred near Varthur. A bike rider attempted to overtake a car from the left. The suspect overtook the vehicle ahead of a signal and also allegedly verbally abused the car driver. He is reported to have remarked that the family does not understand Kannada. The vehicle had a Kerala registration. Car's glass was allegedly broken with the helmet by the bike rider. The driver of the car was later allegedly dragged out and assaulted.
The car owner has been identified as Akhil hailing from Kerala. Akhil has filed a complaint at the Varthur Police Station. The visuals of the incident were captured on a CCTV camera. Akhil was on his way to a hospital on Sarjapur Main Road along with his wife and a child.
The bike driver has been identified as Jagadish. He has also filed a complaint against Akhil. He claimed that the car was making loud noises on the road and upon being questioned over it, Akhil is alleged to have physically assaulted Jagadish. The police have taken both complaints and are conducting an investigation.
