  • The Citizens Movement claim Aravind Limbavali is apathetic
  • They have procured loans amounting to Rs 274,000
  • 3 truckloads of wet mix have been arranged

The Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru have claimed that an apathetic attitude was displayed from Member of Legislative Assembly from Mahadevpura, Aravind Limbavali with regard to fast tracking work pertaining to filing potholes. They have taken it upon themselves to deal with the cost of repair and have managed to accumulate RS 274,000 for the same. They also initiated a tax boycott campaign in order to reach out to the authorities. The team had procured wet mix trucks to begin filling the potholes. They were assisted by Muni Reddy, a gram panchayat member of Halanayakanahalli with regard to this. 3 such truckloads were arranged for.

The movement has been finding resonance on social media. An X,(formerly known as Twitter) handle dedicated to the cause has more than 9700 followers. The handle has been providing constant updates with regard to the movement. They have stated that a loan has been procured in order to take up this task.

"Arif paid from his pocket and took a loan for the same! Who will pay his EMI? He is a salaried middle-class citizen with lots of liabilities. Just a love for Bengaluru won’t feed his family! (sic)," the Twitter handle posted

Some have however raised concerns with respect to whether the movement has taken into consideration that an unscientific approach to this issue could lead to further complications.
