According to sources, hundreds of people had gathered in the botanical garden to celebrate the festival of colors. However, questions are now being raised about how such an event was permitted inside Lal Bagh, a heritage site known for its rich biodiversity.
Upon being alerted, Lal Bagh staff and local security rushed to the scene to control the situation and disperse the crowd. Authorities managed to restore order, but the incident has sparked outrage among environmentalists and conservationists. Critics argue that Holi celebrations in the garden could damage plants and disrupt the delicate ecological balance of the area.
