The investigations pertaining to the alleged pro Pakistan slogans that were proclaimed after the victory of Dr Syed Naser Hussain in the Rajya Sabha election are still underway. Reports suggest that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report has been submitted to the government. The government has however not offered any clarification on this issue. 3 people have been arrested in relation to this incident. The court has granted the police custody of the accused. This has put the Congress government in a spot of bother.
Munawar, Ilaj and Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi have been identified as the arrested individuals. They were produced to the 39th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. Their police custody would last for a period of 3 days.
There was a meeting conducted by CM Siddaramaiah in his residence which was attended by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara and some police officials. The meeting lasted for 2 hours. Leader of Opposition R Ashok has claimed that 10-12 more individuals are involved in this act. Priyank Kharge however attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for having made claims based on a report of a private forensic lab.
