Amidst preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, CM Siddaramaiah will hold his second Janata Darshana (direct interaction with the people of Karnataka) on February 8th. This will consist of citizens from across the state. Arrangements for this event have been made in the Vidhana Soudha.
Stalls have been put in place for officials pertaining to each ministry. Each stall has also been designated with a number. Seating arrangements have also been in front of the stalls for citizens. The design for chairs has also taken into consideration the possibility of the elderly and physically challenged individuals paying a visit to the stalls. Battery-run wheelchairs have been put in place. Food and water would also be provided to citizens in the venue. The attendance for the event is expected to be in the range of 5000 to 10,000. Citizens can avail free BMTC services for the event.
Secretaries of Departments along with Chiefs of the Ministry and subordinate departments will be present in these stalls to receive requests from citizens.
In the first Janata Darshana, 4030 applications were taken of which 3738 applications have already been disposed of. The event will take place between 10 AM to 6 PM.
