According to the complainant, Kiran visited her residence three times under the pretext of verifying her passport application. During one of the visits, he reportedly entered her house, closed the door, and made inappropriate demands. Allegedly, he coerced her to give him a “furtive hug,” threatening to submit a negative report due to her elder brother’s alleged criminal background.
When the techie resisted, Kiran is said to have shut the door himself, insisting she comply. However, her elder brother, who was present at the time, witnessed the incident. Kiran then attempted to justify his actions, claiming the hug was “intentional” and later stated that the woman was like his “younger sister.”
Disturbed by the behavior, the techie lodged a formal complaint with Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West, Girish. Following the complaint, Kiran was promptly suspended as a punitive measure.
The incident has sparked outrage, raising concerns about misuse of authority and the need for stricter monitoring of police conduct during verification processes. Authorities have assured that further investigations will follow to ensure justice.
