According to police, around 1:40 AM, a man who had come to dump garbage noticed a suspicious bundle inside the truck. When he tried to check, he found strands of hair and a woman’s leg protruding from the sack. Alarmed, he immediately informed the local police.

Police rushed to the spot and confirmed that it was indeed a woman’s body, estimated to be between 25 and 35 years of age. Initial examination revealed that she was wearing only a company-branded T-shirt and pants, with her undergarments missing, raising strong suspicion of sexual assault before murder.

CCTV footage collected from nearby streets shows that the unknown suspect brought the body in an auto-rickshaw and dumped it in the garbage truck before fleeing. Investigators have confirmed that the suspect acted alone. Police teams are now reviewing CCTV footage from multiple routes to identify and trace the auto and the killer’s movements.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause and time of death. Senior officers, including West Division Joint Commissioner of Police Vanshikrishna, have visited the spot and instructed teams to expedite the investigation.
