According to BBMP, of the 1.02 crore voters listed in the draft, there are 52.69 lakh male voters, 49.7 lakh female voters, and 1,831 transgender voters. Since January 1, 2024, Bengaluru has seen an addition of 1.98 lakh new voters, while 85,321 names were removed. In comparison, the final electoral rolls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections included 98.43 lakh voters, indicating a notable increase this year.

The BBMP has urged citizens to verify their information on the draft list through the official website or at ward offices across the city. Citizens have until November 28 to file any objections or corrections.

To ensure maximum voter participation, the BBMP has announced special registration drives on November 9, 10, 23, and 24 at all ward offices and key BBMP centers. This initiative aims to register any residents who may have been left out, underscoring the civic body’s commitment to inclusive and updated electoral rolls for Bengaluru’s growing voter base.
