Cases relating to threatening and attacking doctors are not new. Doctors are always at the risk of being misconstrued for their treatment to patients when things go wrong with patients and caretakers, despite when doctors have given proper treatment to patients.
Here, in such an incident in Bengaluru, two men beat up and attack a doctor with a knife at a private hospital in the city. It is said the attackers were in an inebriated condition.
Dr Jamal Husain is the doctor who was attacked by these two men over him not having treated Vanishri properly, the mother of one of them. The two men were frustrated and angered at the doctor over Vanishri not recovering from treatment.
Dr Husain is a resident of Munireddy Layout in Hongasandra and he has been working with the hospital for the last six months.
Dr Husain is being treated at the same hospital for injuries and is recovering.
Both the accused men were arrested by Bommanahalli police and have registered a case and investigating the incident. A case of attempt to murder (IPC 307), the Karnataka Prohibition of Violence against Medicare Service Personnel and Damage to Property in Medicare Service Institutions Act of 2009 has been slapped against the two accused.
This incident took place at Sonu Hospital on Beguru Main Road in Hongasandra in Bengaluru.
