Bengaluru has witnessed a spate in robberies recently. A number of cases are filed on a daily basis. Among these, one of the cases stands out on account of its peculiarity. You might have heard of mobiles, laptops, watches, sunglasses and even band aid bags being stolen. But can you guess what the thieves in this case aimed to steal? Shaving kits and doctor’s coats! A case has been registered at a police station in relation to this incident.
On December 9th, Dr Shivakumar Swami of the HCJ Cancer Centre parked his vehicle and ventured out. There was a blazer worth Rs 10,000 and a shaving kit inside a suitcase in the car. The suitcase was stolen by a thief after breaking the car’s glass window. Shivakumar was distraught over the proceedings. Three days later, the suitcase was discovered by a bus driver in Chennai. He called the doctor and arranged for its return from a bus headed to Hosur on the very next day. The shaving kit and the blazer were however missing.
This made Shivakumar approach the police. The blazer was even insured by the doctor. The Medical Administrative Board was also informed of this. The police suspect that the blazer being insured might also be a reason for the theft.
