In a distressing incident from Ullal, a man who was bitten by a stray dog has been desperately seeking treatment for the past two days, only to be turned away due to the unavailability of rabies vaccine at the local Primary Health Centre (PHC).

The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, was bitten by a stray dog earlier this week. He rushed to the nearby government health centre for immediate post-bite vaccination, only to be told that the rabies vaccine stock was empty. Since then, he has reportedly been shuttling between hospitals, with no success in obtaining the life-saving shot.
Health centre staff have confirmed that the vaccine has been out of stock for at least two days, and patients are being turned away until new supplies arrive. In such critical cases, the first few doses of the rabies vaccine are essential and time-sensitive, making delays potentially life-threatening.
