A shocking incident of dog theft occurred in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar 9th Block, where an unidentified man snatched a pet dog right in front of its owner. The incident which took place on the night of March 12 was captured on CCTV and reported to the police.

The dog owner, Madhura was taking her pet dog, named Richiee for a walk when two unidentified individuals arrived on the bike wearing  helmets. Without warning, they snatched the dog and fled the scene. The entire theft was captured on a nearby CCTV camera which showed the individuals quickly riding away with the dog.

Madhura immediately reported the theft to the Tilaknagar police station, and an FIR was filed. According to the complaint, the stolen dog is valued at Rs 10,000. The police are investigating  the case and are currently reviewing the CCTV footage to track down the perpetrators.

This incident highlights the growing concern of pet thefts in the city, especially in public areas where owners are left vulnerable. The authorities are urging the public to be more vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately to prevent such crimes.

The police have assured that they are doing everything to catch the criminals and bring the stolen dog back to its rightful owner. Meanwhile, pet owners are advised to take extra precautions when walking their pets in public spaces.
