From 8 pm on December 31 to 1 am on January 1, vehicles on MG Road, Anil Kumble Circle, Mayo Hall, Church Street, Brigade Road will not be allowed to ply. B Dayananda, Bengaluru Police Commissioner revealed this information in a press conference held on December 26th.

To increase security during New Year celebrations in Bengaluru’s MG Road, drone cameras will be pressed into service on the night of December 31.

In the wake of New Year celebrations, the Bengaluru police have released a list of hotels that were raided last year. Additionally, they have warned owners about anything untoward happening. They have also mandated that the owners should inform the local police stations about actors, celebrities or political figures visiting such hotels to take part in parties.

On the night of 31st December, flyovers across Bengaluru would not be operational after 10 PM. Namma Metro services will be extended until 1 AM on the given day. The use of loudspeakers and crackers is not allowed for new year celebrations. Bars are mandated to provide parking facilities for those paying a visit. Celebrations cannot occur without the relevant permission from authorities. Those conducting parties need to ensure that cleanliness is maintained at the location after celebrations have come to an end.
