On Friday (October 20), two intoxicated women unleashed ruckus and nuisance in Bengaluru’s Koramangala. In a state of drunken stupor, one of the two even climbed a car while the other slept on the roads. It is also alleged that the two created a lot of trouble for passersby.
It took place in front of Drunken Daddy bar. On learning of the incident, the police rushed to the spot and took them to the police station. Later, it is learnt that they counselled and warned them and let them go away.
Incidentally, one of the friends of the two girls tried to take them away, but it was of no use.
Pramila Nesargi, a lawyer, speaking exclusively with NewsFirst Prime, said, “It is all dependent on our government. It has given licences indiscriminately. Though it has not done much to supply water, it has ensured excessive access to alcohol.”
She also highlighted the role played by parents in mitigating such behaviours.
“Parents should also raise their daughters correctly. I have also heard that beer bottles were distributed as prizes to children. In the name of freedom, such things can’t happen. One of the other reasons can also be attributed to the distribution of cash to women. They are using such doles unchecked.”
Prashant Sambargi, a social activist, seconds her.
He says, “It should all be blamed on migrants whose parents are not present here. These days, more licences are being given to open pubs and bars. The Congress government is responsible for this. In the name of making profits, the lives of youngsters are being ruined. It is also a result of aping western culture.”
