What began as a regular Sunday morning took a distressing turn for residents at a Bengaluru PG when a thief brazenly broke in and stole a laptop. The incident occurred just before 7:30 AM, as the culprit quietly slipped into a ground-floor room, seized the laptop, and fled undetected, triggering alarm among occupants.

Tenants living in the PG were shaken by the audacity and timing of the theft. Residents noted that the thief gained unauthorized access with ease, highlighting significant security shortcomings within the accommodation. “He entered the floor, moved freely in a room, took everything, and left,” remarked one resident, voicing frustration over the surveillance.a

Following the incident, tenants tagged the Bengaluru Police on social media platforms, urging them to take immediate action. They demanded an official FIR be lodged, a prompt police investigation initiated, and strict measures implemented to prevent future intrusions.

Anger also turned toward the PG management, criticized for failing to maintain even minimal security. Tenants questioned the absence of staff or mechanisms like CCTV and access control.
