The Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) has made its intra-Ecity shuttle service which has been made available exclusively for employees in Electronics City available to the public for free. To avail this service, employees are required to show their identity card to the conductor in charge. ELCITA had recently posted about this service on Twitter.

The service commenced in July 2022. The buses also have provisions for the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) within it. ELCITA wants to promote the usage of public transport.

ELCITA was established in the year 2013. It envisions to make electronics city a futuristic model city. It is a public private partnership. It takes the aid of subject experts to chart development models. They have undertaken projects pertaining to water supply, waste management and infrastructural repairs. They have created an app wherein citizens can file complaints which are then directed to the authorities concerned. Rainwater harvesting, treatment of wastewater and promotion of recyclable material are other functions they have taken up.
