Bengaluru: Family members of Dr Rajkumar gather at Kanteerava Stadium to commemorate him

24th April marks the birth anniversary of late veteran Sandalwood actor Dr Rajkumar. Fans across Karnataka commemorate Dr Rajkumar on this occasion every year. 

Family members of Dr Rajkumar gathered at the Kanteerava Stadium on this occasion. Among them were Raghavendra Rajkumar, Mangala Raghavendra, Ashwini Puneet Rajkumar and Lakshmi. A prayer was offered to Dr Rajkumar. Thousands had gathered at the venue.

Raghavendra spoke about the eminence of Dr Rajkumar. “Today is the Swathi Nakshtara. This was the same day on which dad was born. As per the hindu calendar, his birthday should have been yesterday. This is a very auspicious occasion. The love poured in by fans has helped us sustain. People's cheers would keep dad happy. His blessings are upon all of us. There is no reason to say that he is no more. My day starts after having a look at his photo. He must be asking about the state of rain and agriculture. I am sure we will witness rains shortly,” Raghavendra said. He recollected slogans along the line of ‘Da Da Da Doctor Raj.”
