In an intriguing incident, a father and son worked as a pair to carry out robbery. The father, identified as Nooruddin, is a heart patient. He had concerns regarding his son’s future. The son too was worried about the cost it would take for a heart operation to be performed.
This made the son carry out a robbery. Noorudin eventually recovered. He joined the Sandhya Kiran Rehabilitation Centre in Madanayakanahalli as a cleaner. He would visit the clinic once in 15 days. He gathered that the owner Kamalamma was contemplating about having the site registered. Her son had sent money from Singapura for this reason. Kamalla thought of doing the registration after the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. She had kept the money in the rehabilitation centre.

The son brought this information to Nooruddin’s notice. Noorudin was enticed to steal the money in order to clear his pending loans. The father-son duo planned a robbery.
Kamalamma’s house is near the rehabilitation centre. The duo stole Rs 11 lakh from the rehabilitation centre, Rs 21 lakh from Kamalamma’s house and jewellery worth crores of rupees. A complaint was filed by Kamalamma in the Madanayakanahalli Police Station. The police investigation uncovered the plot devised by the duo.
The duo stored the cash in a room they booked as movement of cash during the election period is risky. They are currently under the custody of the police.
