  • Bengaluru FC celebrated its foundation day on 20th July
  • It released a modern rap rendition of the classic "Santoshakke"
  • Fans are in full appreciation of Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC recently celebrated their tenth anniversary. In typical fashion, they released a video, with a modern rendition of the cult classic song Santoshakkke from the 1981 romantic drama, Geetha starring the late Shankar Nag. The rap song played to visuals which every Bengaluru resident will resonate with.

A montage of famous locations like Vidhana Soudha, Church Street, Kanteerava Stadium, UB City Mall, Toit Brewpub is enough to take anyone down memory lane. The rap lyrics paid tribute to some icons of Karnataka like S.P Balasubramanyam, “O.G” Shankar Nag and made a mention of other cultural symbols that are close to every Bengalurian’s hearth namely "by 2 coffee" and Bisi Bele Bath. No tribute remains complete until a mention of  late Dr Rajkumar and his son Late Punneth Rajkumar is made and this video does not fail in that regard.

Bengaluru FC has its way of staying in touch with its fan base, who too have been by its side through thick and thin.

Bengaluru FC came very close to winning its second ISL title this year, but lost out by a single goal in the penalties. Their efforts however won them tremendous respect among their fan base.
