Three months ago, Ramesh Babu had hired Raj and Deepa, a Nepali couple, as security personnel for his house. They quickly earned the family’s trust. When Ramesh Babu and his family traveled to Tirupati, they left the house under Raj and Deepa’s care.
While away, Ramesh Babu kept a watch on his home through CCTV. Suddenly, the feed went offline one morning, raising his suspicions. He alerted his friends to check on the house, where they discovered a massive robbery.
Raj and Deepa had looted 2 kg of gold jewelry, Rs 10 lakh in cash, and Ramesh Babu’s licensed firearm, which was kept at home for self-defense. The couple had vanished without a trace. Ramesh Babu promptly filed an FIR at the HAL police station, and a search operation is underway to trace the culprits.
