The controversy surrounding the alleged raising of the “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan after the victory of Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Syed Nasir Hussain in the Rajya Sabha election has had ripple effects across Karnataka. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have demanded strict action against the person responsible for this.

The video of the incident was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination. It is being reported that the FSL has examined the footage and handed over a report of their analysis to the Karnataka Government.

An audio testing of the voice being heard in the video was also done. Mohammad Shafi Nashipudi is being interrogated over the slogan. He has claimed that he had raised the slogan of “Nasir Saab Zindabad.” 3 other audio samples have been recorded as part of the examination.

The BJP has submitted a complaint to the governor against the government over this incident. They asked for a dissolution of the government. “The government must make the FSL report available in the public domain. Who are they protecting? This is a result of appeasement politics. The state of Congress is similar to Pakistan. If Pakistan is economically finished, Congress is politically finished,” Leader of Opposition R Ashok stated.
