Earlier, Nagaraj who hails from the Aremallapura village in the Haveri district had arrived at the G.T Mall along with his father to watch a movie.

The mall officials are believed to have explicitly stated that Lungi is not an acceptable attire inside the mall. The father-son duo had to wait outside the mall for a period of 30 minutes before being let inside due to persistence from their end.
