Bengaluru’s Manekshaw Parade Ground on Cubbon Road will host the 'Know Your Army Mela' tomorrow (Jan 11), promising an action-packed day for attendees. The event, organized by the Indian Army, offers free entry and runs from 8 am to 4 pm.

Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, will be the chief guest at the fair, which aims to provide citizens with a closer look at Army life and equipment. The event will feature adrenaline-pumping activities, including para-motor gliding, daredevil motorcycle stunts, drone demonstrations, and combat bridge-laying. Tank displays and simulator experiences for driving Army vehicles will also be major attractions.
Visitors can enjoy cultural performances by Army soldiers, as well as thrilling displays by Army dogs and horses. Informative and interactive stalls will highlight recruitment opportunities, medical assistance, and veteran support. A dedicated Army placement cell and food stalls will also be part of the event.
This mela is a chance for Bengalureans to connect with the Army and understand the lives of the soldiers who safeguard our borders.
