The city’s party districts, known for drawing large crowds during New Year’s Eve, will see extensive security deployment. Police personnel, including plainclothes officers, will patrol these areas to prevent incidents of misbehavior or disruptions. Traffic management will also be a priority, with designated routes and restrictions expected to ease congestion in busy areas.

While the seven-day mourning period for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh continues, it is limited to official government events. Businesses, including restaurants, pubs, and other establishments, will operate under separate guidelines to balance public sentiment with festive celebrations.

The city administration has urged citizens to act responsibly and cooperate with law enforcement to uphold Bengaluru’s reputation as a vibrant and safe international city. Emergency response teams will be on standby to address any unforeseen situations promptly.

With these measures in place, Bengaluru looks set to usher in the New Year while prioritizing public safety and maintaining order across its bustling celebration zones.
