Bengaluru: Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot to inaugurate Republic Day event

Full fledged preparations have been made for the celebration of the 75th Republic Day in Bengaluru. The Manekshaw Parade Ground would be the venue wherein the celebrations will take place. Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot will inaugurate the program at 9 AM on 26th January.

Along with the Governor, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah will also be present in the venue. The seating arrangements have been made with the anticipation that close to 7000 people will be in attendance for this occasion. Parking arrangements for vehicles have also been made for the anticipated crowd. For those who have received a special invitation for this occasion, a yellow card has been assigned in order to distinguish them from the others. 

100 CCTV cameras have been deployed in and around the Manekshaw Parade Ground in order to strengthen the security for the Republic Day event. The passage of vehicles from roads surrounding the venue has been restricted between 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM on 26th January. Vehicles have been prohibited from making a stop within a close proximity to the grounds.
