A Rajasthan-based individual who approached his boss after having lost his job duped him by stealing jewellery worth crores before fleeing the spot. The Bengaluru apprehended two individuals after an extensive chase. 

A jeweller named Arvind Kumar Thade had been operating in Bengaluru for several years. He has a store named Kanchana Stores within the limits of the Halasuru Police Station. The store dealt with gold and silver jewellery apart from antique items. 

An individual named Ketharam joined Kanchana Stores as a worker. He had earned the reputation of being loyal and determined. He also learnt about the dealings of Arvind during this time. He also earned his trust. 

During Dussehra, Arvind visited his family in Mumbai. It is during this time that Ketharam planned to rob the store along with two of his friends. He stole the key even before Arvind left for Mumbai. The trio stole a bike in Annapoorneshwari Nagar before embarking on their quest. They stole almost every item in the store before escaping on the bike. 

Arvind was informed of this by those around the store. He returned from Mumbai and filed a case in the Halasuru Police Station. The complaint was filed on October 29th. 

The police were successful in apprehending the accused. 1.65 kg of gold, 6.45 kg of silver, Rs 5.5 lakh in cash, some old notes, some antique watches and a bike was recovered from them. 2 of the 3 accused have been arrested. Efforts are underway to nab the other accused as well.
