Allegations of harassment over the demand of dowry have been made on the husband

On November 4th around 15 members of the wife’s family had arrived at RT Nagar

The couple were counselled by the police

An intriguing incident unfolded in the Ganesh Block of the RT Nagar area in Bengaluru. A couple that were married for over two years were undergoing certain marital issues. It is being reported that constant fights would ensue between the couple. 

Allegations of harassment over the demand of dowry have been made on the husband. It is also being said that the husband had a problem pertaining to addiction to alcohol. The wife is also suspected to have been the receiving end of physical abuse. Due to the escalation of these conflicts, the wife was staying with her parents for a while recently. 

On November 4th around 15 members of the wife’s family had arrived at RT Nagar to the husband’s house. Members from both sides of the family were present. An attempt at conflict resolution was being undertaken. However things quickly got out of hand, with a heated physical altercation that involved multiple people. 

Both sides approached the RT Nagar police station with complaints containing their own version of how the event unfolded. The police did not receive either complaints. The couple and their extended families were counselled and let off.
