Bengaluru: Here's a super-app ASTraM that will give commuters real-time updates on traffic

Bengaluru commuters are about to gain a powerful tool to tackle the city's notorious traffic with the launch of the new ASTraM super-app. Designed by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, the app aims to consolidate all essential traffic-related services in one user-friendly platform. Real-time updates, congestion alerts, accident reporting, and more will be available at users' fingertips, simplifying their daily commute.

The app, currently under development, is expected to roll out soon. Among its standout features, ASTraM offers real-time alerts on traffic congestion within a 5-kilometer radius, helping commuters plan and navigate routes more effectively. Unlike existing traffic apps, it centralizes data, eliminating the need to consult multiple sources.

ASTraM also empowers users to report accidents or traffic violations by submitting images directly through the app, with the option to remain anonymous. No personal details are recorded, ensuring a quick and streamlined reporting process.

Additionally, the super-app will allow users to view and pay traffic fines directly, reducing the hassle of relying on separate tools or platforms.
