The two firms were declared winners of the ‘Enroute: A Mobility-as-a-Service Challenge’ on August 22, a competition aimed at enhancing public transportation in Bengaluru. The challenge was organized by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), WRI India, and Villgro, focusing on finding practical digital tools to streamline the city’s transit systems.

Tummoc, a multi-modal connectivity and ticketing app, promises to revolutionize how Bengaluru’s residents navigate the city. The platform will integrate journey planning, real-time data, and ticketing into a single application, allowing users to effortlessly plan their trips, check bus and metro schedules, and purchase tickets—all within one interface.

Namma Yatri, a ride-hailing app, simplifies the booking process with a unified QR code system. This innovation enables users to book their entire journey, including last-mile connections, with a single scan, making commuting more efficient and less stressful.

These initiatives are poised to significantly enhance user experience and improve public transportation, offering much-needed relief to Bengaluru’s overburdened commuters.
