Bengaluru: High Court grants Bhavani Revanna anticipatory bail

The mother of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Prajwal Revanna, Bhavani Revanna was granted a major relief by the Karnataka High Court. An anticipatory bail has been granted to her in relation to the kidnapping case for which she is being pursued by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). 

Bhavani Revanna’s name appeared in the case along with her husband H.D Revanna who is a former Public Works Department (PWD) Minister of Karnataka. She was asked to appear before the SIT for an interrogation. She however failed to comply with the SIT’s directions. The court had then granted her an interim bail.

She appeared before the SIT after having been granted an interim bail. She even aided the SIT by answering the questions posed to her. The Karnataka High Court has now provided her positive news in relation to the case. She would heave a sigh of relief. 

The High Court also took note of the statement of the victim. She claimed that Bhavani provided her food and clothes. Inlight of these statements, the High Court concluded that an arrest was unnecessary at this stage.
