The issue gained prominence during the March 20 Assembly session when BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal named Rajanna in the honeytrap controversy. Responding in the House, Rajanna admitted to being targeted and vowed to file a written complaint, which he has now fulfilled.
Rajanna's complaint has intensified political discussions, with curiosity mounting over the documents he submitted. Speaking on the matter, Rajanna clarified that there was no CCTV footage from his Bengaluru residence to support his claims but urged authorities to investigate visitors linked to the case.
Recounting the incidents, Rajanna stated that a man initially introduced himself as a High Court lawyer. On a subsequent visit, he was accompanied by a woman wearing jeans and a blue top, who also tried to establish contact. Rajanna asserted that he could identify her if shown a photograph.
Submitting a three-page complaint, the minister has called for action against those involved, adding another layer of intrigue to the unfolding political drama.
